I had a strange dream this morning. I never sleep with the lights off. So last night, I accidentally fell asleep with my laptop on me and lights off. I woke up in my dream and noticed that the lights were off. So I get up from bed to turn them on. It wouldn't turn on. I quickly walk into the kitchen to switch the light on and it wouldn't turn on. Same thing in the living room- the lights wouldn't turn on! I freaked myself out to the point I woke up, got up from bed, and switched on the lights.

This morning, I came into the office and while I was getting ready to check my e-mail, the power in the building starts to flicker and then finally shuts off. I'm thinking to myself HERE WE GO AGAIN. My co-worker gets trapped in the elevator cab and falls down 4 floors IN THE DARK. Apparently, a Cessna plane had crashed in a residential area nearby the office, hitting a main electrical generator and two buildings. One of the buildings serves as a daycare center. Three people have died and the city is still without power. There was no point for us to stay at work, so we all left. And here I am at home, still freaked out from my dream.

So Blogger has recently announced the shut-down of the FTP support. What does that mean for me? BAD. Apparently, the hold up with improving Blogger was because 5% of users refuse to move and go elsewhere with their crappy FTP support so users continued to squat until the mighty hand of Google forced them out. Essentially, they are getting rid of me. Have you heard on the news recently about a homeless veteran dude living in a shelter in Ohio, who went ape shit crazy on the housing director by killing him with a knife and ax? And it was because he was forced to leave it resulted in a heinous act of violence and even his own life. Thought I’d share that fun story with you. I’ve been rather lazy with my blog lately and I believe it’s God’s subtle way of telling me that this would be the perfect opportunity to make my blog prettier and shinier using a different publishing platform. A publishing platform that welcomes my kind with open arms. I made this goal several times last year and the year before. Now I really have to make it happen and move the frak out of here. Methinks it’s going to take some time to do with all the importing of older posts and whatnot. Makes me think twice about that gym membership that I’ve been pondering. Hmm. Sit in front of the computer, have no life, and work on my website OR go to the gym, socialize, and look sexy? Damn it! Why does my website ALWAYS win!?

I have until March 26th to vacate.

Sorry, I've been pretty candid lately. But if I can't say it, I will write it. I'm a pretty mellow cat most days and I don't get pissed off too often. Some people just rub me the wrong way. And lately there seems to be a lot of rubbing in the wrong places. And for those who's minds are in the gutter, NO THANKS. But again, I'm sorry.

Anyhow, I do have some funny stories up my sleeve. I'm in a very funny mood this evening. So please feel free to share a joke. If you plan to send an offensive joke, just e-mail it to me. I can't have crazy bitches getting all up in arms on this blog. I'm trying to create a family-friendly blog you can share with your kids at night. Kind of like a sexier version of KPBS.

Last night, I had a couple of people over at my house. My Mormon guy friend came earlier than the rest of the group so naturally I gave him le grand tour. One of the first things he noticed was the collection of booze sitting above my refrigerator. I had to explain to him how they were presents from different people and from work. I even pointed out the fact that the seals weren't open- meaning I didn't drink any of it. I had nothing to do with those bottles. Seriously, yo. They're like a collection of Beanie Babies. They're there to admire. You don't do shit with them.

To quickly divert his attention to something more pure or Jesus-like, I turned on the TV. Being the show-off that I am, I showed him how my Netflix movies stream to my TV through my dvd blu-ray player. As we're scrolling through the list of movies that I have on queue, I completely forget that I have movies that I wouldn't even want my parents knowing that I watched, let alone a Mormon who thinks so purely of me. A couple of movies that were on queue that made me blush and say "how did that get there?" to my Mormon friend:

1. High: The True Tale of American Marijuana
2. Deliver Us From Evil
3. Kama Sutra
4. The Devil Came On Horseback

Luckily, March of The Penguins appeared on the list after scrolling through an unfortunate series of unholy movies. Thank god for my love of penguins! I immediately clicked the movie to play like I was in some sort of race. Like I knew the answer to a Jeopardy question and the buzzard wouldn't buzz fast enough. Fuck.

I can't stress enough how exhausting it is to keep up this angel reputation. I don't know how Mother Theresa or Al Gore do it.

I guess the lesson to be had, kids, is to keep it real.

Just because you’re mad that your team (Redskins) sucks, doesn’t mean you have to go on and say a better team like mine (Chargers) suck. Perhaps it’s the rain storm, the gloom, the Chargers losing, the fact that I stayed at the office till 9:00PM, the fact that I haven’t had anything to eat, or a combination of all of the above. Whatever it is, I just want to be home. No tv. No noise. Just nothing. I want to do absolutely nothing.

Heart break

If you don’t know by now, the Chargers lost yesterday. A devastating heart breaker of a loss (for me, at least). I didn’t realize it until I walked into work this morning that I wore all black. A co-worker had pointed at that fact and laughed. Well that’s just fucking ironic. I suppose I’m in my natural state of mourning. I don’t have to think about wearing black. My body and mind just knows that I’m in a very, very, dark place. The thing about living in the bay area where everyone is a die-hard 49er/Raider fan, everybody knows and remembers the odd-ball Charger fan. Not just that, but I happen to be one of the biggest Charger fans out there. Ask Shaun Phillips. I told him “I love you” a million times over a brief phone conversation 4 days ago. True story, btw. I’ve been through several heart breaks in my life, but this one really takes the cake. It’s like someone struck a lightning bolt through my heart. PUN INTENDED. So when a couple of my co-workers came in this morning, they were kind enough to either say “we were thinking about you, Mary Anne” or “FUCK THAT KICKER!” Sigh. Story of my fan life.

Until then, my friends, I will continue to lead a very unfulfilling life. Cheering for a team that has yet to win The Big One.

Sorry, I’ve been gone. I’ll be back mostly after the holidays. I’ve got a mad rush of things to do. I’ve been working my tail off at my job and holidays aren’t helping either. I wish I had the luxury to blog. Most days I’m tired, irritable, and want to strangle people with my little hands. Seriously though, I have so many things to blog about.
